Phil Mullins

Phil is an avid collector of WW2 material and has a vast knowledge of German WW2 collectible materials. Whenever I need information about Germany and WW2, he’s the first one I call. He has collect German items for around the world and prides himself in meeting some of the honored heroes of WW2.
He is a member of the “Indianapolis SurvivorsAssociation”, member of the WW2 roundtable, aero club and frequently visits other military associations and WW2 reunions. His collections of autographs include those of former Governer Whitcome, who was a ww2 prisoner at Baton, and Gen Tibits, pilot of the Elona Gay, who dropped the atomic bomb on Nasakki in Aug 1945. He has attended the reunion of Gen Doolittle squadron and has autographs of some of our greatest hero’s in that group. His historical collection and experience with history continues to grow.

Dick M., one of our outstanding veterans of WW2. Dick served in the 82nd airborne and was dropped behind German lines two days after the invasion of Normandy.

Vera Lynn, a 92 year old singer, whose song went to the top of the list of recordings in England in 2009. She sang the same song for British troops in 1940. An amazing woman. Click this text to read and hear her outstanding music!
The last ww2-era LST (landing, ship, tank) still operational in the world is permanently docked in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It serves as a museum with tours by volunteers. The ship was launched in 1942 and was part of the D-Day invasion at Omaha Beach June 6, 1944

Michael Blain was born in a village in Carpatho-Ruthenia, which was part of the former Czechoslovakia, later part of Hungary and now part of the Ukraine. He left home at the age of 14 living in Hungary, the former Soviet Union, England and for a brief periods in other countries before coming to the United States in 1949. Mike was a Holocaust survivor and a US Army Korean War veteran. He holds a B.S Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology where he was the founder of the first president of Hillel and edited the college paper.
It was a great speech about his life and his experience, he is now 81 and lives in Indianapolis.
